CHALLENGE
Our customer was building a new custom home with an open living and kitchen area with a continuous curved ceiling throughout. He wanted surround sound in the living room to work with the 70” TV over the fireplace that did not compromise his décor and at the same time was easy to use. He also wanted sound in the kitchen, office and rear gallery.
SOLUTION
We chose a sound bar solution with subwoofer and wireless rear speakers from Bose that offered minimal intrusion in the room and gave great sound. In the kitchen speakers were placed on top of the cabinets to blanket the space with sound. The office received a pair of in ceiling speakers and on the rear gallery Bose environmental speakers were installed. The entire system can be controlled by the Bose SoundTouch app on a phone or tablet.
RESULTS
The Bose soundbar system with the Adapt IQ calibration feature did a great job in tailoring the settings of the system to the rooms unique acoustical characteristics created by the curved ceiling to offer a great theater experience in stunning space. Daily the customer utilizes the convenient presets stations on the Bose SoundTouch app to listen to his favorite radio talk shows which broadcast on several different internet radio stations. He can also enjoy watching a Blu-Ray movie from the player which is hidden in his office but controlled seamlessly with the Bose remote universal control. He has all the features and control he desires in a very discreet installation. Win-Win.
